I am applying to the Academy of Architecture because I want to further develop my ability to connect ideas and people with architecture.
The Academy's strong integration of practice and theory aligns with my ambition to learn not only conceptually, but also through real-world application.
During my Bachelor in Built Environment, combined with my internship at Heyligers Architects, I developed a solid foundation in architectural thinking and design tools — and I am motivated to expand this by working on more complex projects.
I am particularly drawn to an investigative, interdisciplinary approach. My curiosity and analytical mindset push me to the core of a problem, while my creativity lets me translate ideas into tangible designs.
My experience as a student assistant, hockey coach and organiser has taught me to take initiative and work collaboratively. I see architecture as a collective process where different skills come together.
In short: I want to grow into an architect who not only designs buildings, but creates connections between people, nature and technology.
